Solid Canadian

Allwood Solution Ltd is not just proud to be Canadian, we are Solid Canadian. This is why the Maple Leaf is part of our logo. But it goes beyond just putting the national symbol in ones logo it must be reflected in how a company does business.

Allwood Solutions Ltd. supports Canadian suppliers and mills. Our plywood is Canadian made. Our lumber is from Canadian suppliers and from Canadian mills, whenever possible, some woods are not grown in Canada. Our wood glue is Canadian made. Our stains and finishes are Canadian made. Even our screws are Canadian made from Canadian steel. We could always buy cheaper off shore but we will not be Solid Canadian.

According to Canadian law if 51% of the total cost is done in Canada it can have a "Made in Canada" sticker on it. Just recently in the news a customer peeled of a made in Canada sticker to find a product of China sticker under it. This may be legal because they added 51% to the total costing of the product they bought in China, but it is morally wrong.

We buy locally, then we buy nationally, and then we will buy North American, we try to avoid imports. If we do not support Canada and Canadians as a manufacturer, how can we expect our customers to?
